|John 16:33 |
33 I have spoken these things to you so that in me you might have peace.5 In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer because I have overcome the world." [To have peace from God, you must be freed from all sin to be in Christ. To be in Christ, the love of God must be perfected in you, so that you become an entirely new creature; so that you no longer walk and speak according to your will, but the Spirit gives you all words to speak and shows you all deeds to be performed. The peace from God is superior to all your mind's thoughts, keeping your heart and mind quiet and worry free.]
5 I have spoken these things to you so that in me you might have peace. Peace is the fruit (effect) of righteousness, and the effect of righteousness is quietness and confident trust (unquestionable assurance) forever. Isa 32:17. To have the peace of quietness and unquestionable assurance forever, you must first be in Christ. To be in Christ, the love of God is perfected in you, you are an entirely new creature, and you walk through life with the Spirit giving you all words to speak and showing you all deeds to be performed — to have peace, you must first attain union with Christ. Only then do you have the peace of Christ to rule your heart. Click to see when you are in Christ.
