2 For there are three that bear record in heaven: the Father, the Word [Jesus], and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. In this verse all the words, "in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one" — did not appear in any of the many manuscripts before 1400; click and read the Net Bible Footnote 2 for details. This means the words were inserted by the Roman sect scribes to support their invention of the so-called trinity, of which there is not single mention in all scripture. There are only two Spirits: the Spirit of God, and the spirit of Satan. Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit are spirit beings, and they are all one Spirit. They are three different manifestations of the same Spirit of God, just like red light, blue light, and yellow light are three manifestations of white light, as seen by passing light through a prism. There are not three individual persons, which leads one to think of Jesus and the Father being persons like you and me, when Jesus and the Father fill the entire universe. Only the King James versions include this wording. There are many scriptures that defy the concept of Jesus being God, including these below:

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 1 Cor 11:3
God is the head of Jesus.

So that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Eph 1:17
The God of Jesus is the Father — Jesus has a God too!

the Son himself also be subject to Him [God].. 1 Cor 15:38
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.. Eph 1:3 (God is the Father of Jesus)
We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Col 1:3 (God is the Father of Jesus)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Pet 1:3 (Peter also tells us the God of Jesus is the Father)

Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things exist, and for whom we exist; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things are made, and through whom we exist. 1 Cor 8:6

You have heard how I said to you, 'I am going away, and will come again to you.' If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, 'I am going to the Father,' because my Father is greater than I. John 14:28
Jesus did not claim equality with the Father, the one God.

Jesus never claimed to be God; he claimed to be the Son of God, and he said he was less than the Father. When he told Phillip, "anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father;" it was because Jesus is the only visible representation of the Father to be seen

Yet, Jesus is the express image of his [God's] person; and Jesus exists in the form of God; Phil 2:6; and all things in heaven and earth were created by him; and Jesus and the Father are one spirit, and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus, and Jesus came out from the Father, and he [the word] was with God, and he [the word] was God. We strive to make Jesus our Lord and King forever. In no way do I diminish Him by limiting him to Lord and the image of the invisible of God, who essentially is God too, but who is not the Father, even though when you see Jesus, you have seen the visible representation and glory of God. God is light. God is a consuming fire. God is a spirit. In the beginning, Jesus stepped out of the light, fire, and spirit called God, to become the visible representation of God as the first-born (Jesus) of all the new creation, so that all God's fullness could dwell in him, (Jesus) and then by him (Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together — so that in everything he might have the supremacy. He is essentially one with God and in the form of God, so that all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father, John 5:21-23; if we are to honer the Son, even as they honor the Father, then to us the Son is equal to God.

All things were created from the Father and for whom we exist; all things were created by Jesus, for the pleasure of Jesus, through whom we exist. Therefore Jesus is the co-creator.

From the Word of the Lord within: "One God, one Spirit." The following scripture sums it all up.

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Eph 4:5-6
.

Jesus is the one Lord. The Father is the one God.

When Jesus is in control of our thoughts, words, and deeds, then Jesus is our Lord and King; then, and only then, we belong to Jesus.
Until then, we are a slave to sin and our master is sin, serving Satan. Jesus said himself, you cannot serve two masters! Luke 16:13.
From the Word of the Lord within: "If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to Me."

Years ago, the Word of the Lord within told us: "You can reach salvation by focusing on Jesus alone; you can reach salvation by focusing on the Father and Jesus; but you cannot reach salvation by focusing on the Father alone." So, the importance of understanding that there is no triune God is to see the evidence of Babylon's [the false churches] inventions, and see how the lie has almost totally captivated Christendom. The trinity, infant baptism, confirmation, and communion are the some of the many inventions of the Roman sect that have been retained and embraced by almost all of Protestantism. Of course, the worst invention of the Roman sect, which was adopted by most of the early Protestants, was torturing and killing anyone with a different religious opinion; both the Roman Catholics and the early Protestants burned people at the stake for denying the carnal mind's invented trinity, which word appears nowhere in scripture. The trinity, a rather trivial invention, was invented in an attempt to explain the unfathomable, just as that which is without beginning or end is unfathomable to our human minds.

Think of natural light: when you pass the white light through a glass prism, it exits as a rainbow of seven different colors: infrared, red, orange, green, blue, violet, ultraviolet; but they are all part of the same light. Jesus the Holy Spirit, and the Father are manifestations of the same one Spirit; not the three persons of the trinity. The seven spirits of God are manifestations of the one spirit too, but they are not a seven-headed god.

Finally, consider this: when we attain union with Christ, we attain union with the Father, and we attain union with all the saints of the past and present. From the Word of the Lord within: "We come up to God, but we are junior to God." Does that make those in union with Christ and the Father gods too? Yes, "You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." Psa 82:6. Now if that frightens you to consider, then realize Jesus quoted that exact same scripture to defend himself: Then Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, 'I have said, You are gods'? So he called them gods, men to whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken. John 10:34-35. Further to that point, Jesus is going to require all the false Christians from the Synagogues of Satan, those who say they are Jews (hearts circumcised) but are not, to come and bow down before the feet of the overcomers and know that Jesus has loved those who overcame, Rev 3:9; overcomers being those who have overcome the wicked one [Satan within themselves] and who have overcome the world [with its lusts], which means they have been purged of sin, purified, and made holy while on the earth. Are the false christians going to be worshipping the overcomer? No! They are going to be bowing before Christ at the feet of the overcomer because the overcomer becomes a part of Christ, a part of his body, one with his Spirit — and so they will be worshipping God and Christ, embodied in the overcomer.

It is also stated that the purpose of life is to create the body of Christ, so that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere. Eph 3:10. So God is grafting his overcomers into Jesus with their different experiences retained in their soul, in order to reflect a different facet of the personality of God, to reflect a different facet of the wisdom of God, to His glory and to the overcomers' joy.
