|Revelation 1:8-10 |
8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," says the Lord, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, in the kingdom, and patient endurance in Jesus Christ,3 was on the isle that is called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. [If any man wants to serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will also be. John 12:26. Your sight and consciousness are in heaven, but you are still on the earth serving the Lord. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth. I will come again to the elect; I will be a crown to lead and guide them." As George Fox ministered on the earth, he was translated to paradise; and then he lived in paradise.]
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, [The Lord's day refers to the day of the week he was resurrected, which is the first day of the week, which is the day that the thousands kingdom-dwelling Quakers met ; and so did the early church meet on the first day of the week, not the seventh day Sabbath of the Jews.]
3 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, in the kingdom, and patient endurance in Jesus Christ. Proving, John was in the Kingdom, had been through the tribulation, and had endured suffering with patience — longsuffering. The New Testament is full of references to the second appearance of Jesus being then, not thousands of years later. In Matthew, Mark, and Luke, Jesus is recorded saying that some then standing with him, 2000 years ago, would see his glorious coming in the clouds with the Kingdom before they died. Later Paul, Jesus in Revelation, Peter, James, and John, — all said, soon, the time is near, a little while, he stands at the door. Christendom blithely ignores this gaping incongruity between what the Bible plainly states vs. what they are taught by their blind guides. It would be a cruel hoax to be waiting on Him to appear if the past 100 generations of believers actually had no hope of ever seeing Him.
In Matthew, Mark, and Luke, Jesus is recorded saying all the end times prophesies would be fulfilled before the generation of 2000 years ago died, (click here to see all).
He said: For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels;
and then he will reward every man according to his works. (Not just a particular generation.)
Some standing here will not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom. Mat 16:27-8,Mar 8:38,9:1,Luk 9:26-27
Those not purified, to see Jesus' coming in them before death, see him as they die, as all peoples, all nations, all generations do.
Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye will see him, and they also which pierced him: (also, the Jews 2000 years ago)
and all kindreds of the earth will wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Rev 1:7.
2000 years ago, to the Jewish High Priest and the Pharisees at his trial, Jesus said..
you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven. Mark 14:62
This is not a particular generation in our time or later. (See Howgill for more on those not purified).
