Previous Chapter | Next Chapter

Bezalel made the burnt offering altar of shittim wood; five cubits [7.5 ft] square and three cubits [4.5 ft] high.

He made the horns on the four corners of it; the horns were of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with bronze.

He made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, shovels, basins, meat hooks, and the fire pans; he made all the vessels of bronze.

He made for the altar a grate of bronze network under its ledge in the middle of it.

He cast four rings for the four corners of the bronze grate to be holders for the poles.

And he made the poles of shittim wood and overlaid them with bronze.

Then he put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar with which to carry it; he made the altar hollow with boards.

He made the basin and its base of bronze from the mirrors of the women who served at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

 Then he made the court [courtyard]. On the south side the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, a hundred cubits long;

Their twenty pillars and bases were of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their joinings were of silver.

For the north side the hangings were also a hundred cubits [50 ft] long; their twenty pillars and bases were of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their joinings were of silver.

And for the west side the hangings were fifty cubits [75 ft]ong; with ten pillars and bases; the hooks of the pillars and their their joinings were also of silver.

And for the east side, fifty [75 ft] cubits.

The hangings of one side of the gate were fifteen cubits [22.5 ft]; their pillars three and their bases three [4.5 ft].

And for the other side of the court gate, on the right and left, were hangings of fifteen cubits [22.5 ft]; their pillars three, and their sockets three [4.5 ft].

All the hangings around the court were of fine twined linen.

The bases for the pillars were of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their joinings were of silver; the overlaying of their tops were of silver; and all the pillars of the court were joined with silver.

The hanging for the gate of the court was needlework of blue, purple, and scarlet, and of fine twined linen; the length was twenty cubits [30 ft], and the height along its width was five cubits [7.5 ft], corresponding to the hangings of the court.

There were four pillars and four bases of bronze; their hooks were of silver, and the overlaying of their tops and their joinings were of silver.

And all the pegs of the tabernacle and around the court were of bronze.

This is the sum of the things for the tabernacle, the tabernacle of testimony, as counted according to the command of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.

Bezaleel the son Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded Moses.

With him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, a skillful workman, and an embroiderer in blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen.

All the gold that was used for the work in all the work of the holy place, the gold of the offering, was twenty nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

The silver from those who were numbered of the congregation was a hundred talents and a thousand seven hundred and seventy five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for everyone who went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty men.

Of the hundred talents of silver the bases of the sanctuary and of the veil were cast; a hundred bases for the hundred talents, a talent for each base.

Of the thousand seven hundred seventy five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their tops, and joined them.

The bronze of the offering was seventy talents and two thousand four hundred shekels.

And with it he made the bases for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, the bronze altar and the bronze grate for it, all the vessels for the altar,

The bases for the court all around, the bases for the court gate, and all the pegs for the tabernacle and around the court.
