61 But he held his peace and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?"

62 And Jesus said, "I Am. And you shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."4 [Heaven appears to our spiritual eye as in a mist or in clouds — so, his coming is on the clouds of heaven, within the hearts of purified believers — just like he ascended: he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. Acts 1:9. Even Daniel in 538 BC saw Jesus coming on the clouds of heaven: I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. Dan 7:13.]

4 To the Jewish High Priest, Jesus said: "you shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Now if Jesus is coming in the clouds to rule the earth sometime in the future, how could the High Priest have seen this 2000 years ago? Jesus in not physically coming in the clouds to rule the earth in the future. He comes in the clouds to the minds eye of those individuals who have been cleansed and purified, who have prepared the way of the Lord, who have leveled every mountain of sin, who have straightened every crooked way of theirs, to see Jesus bring their salvation.

And if someone does not receive Jesus in a cleansed, purified body while alive on earth, at death all other men see him coming in the clouds — the day of the Lord, when he will render judgment to every man according to his works while in the body; this is the case of the Jewish High Priest — he saw Jesus coming on a cloud when he died. When Jesus comes to his saints to be resurrected within them, he then rules the earth through his saints; but the rule is the rule of love, not what man expects.
