Proverbs 2

Previous Chapter | Next Chapter

 1 My son, if you will hear [not read] and accept my words, and treasure my commands [that you hear] within your memory;

 2 So that you incline your ear [listen] to wisdom and apply your heart and mind to understanding, [wisdom is spoken from the mouth of God to heard by your inclined ear, not read from a book];

 3 Yes, if you cry out for insight and discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;

 4 If you seek her [wisdom] as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;

 5 Then shall you understand the reverential and obedient fear of the LORD,1 and find the knowledge of God.

 6 For the LORD gives wisdom; and from his mouth, knowledge and understanding. [The word is in your heart and mouth to be obeyed, which is the word of faith the Apostles preached. Rom 10:8.]

 7 He stores up sound wisdom for the righteous; he is a shield to those who walk uprightly.

 8 He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of his saints.

 9 Then shall you understand righteousness, and justice, and integrity; yes, every good path.

 10 When wisdom enters into your heart and knowledge is pleasant to your soul;

 11 Discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you;

 12 To deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man who speaks perverse things and lies;

 13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; [The upright are pure, walking by the light of God; to walk in darkness is to walk in lust, fulfilling the desires of your flesh and the thoughts of your carnal mind, which is sin. From the Word of the Lord within: "All sin is darkness. The whole world lies in wickedness; the wickedness knows no shame. Darkness mocks the earth; darkness covers the earth."]

 14 Who rejoice in doing evil [sin], and delight in the perversity of wickedness;

 15 Whose ways are crooked, and they are devious in their paths:

 16 To deliver you from the strange woman, even from the stranger who flatters with her words;

 17 Who forsakes the guide of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God.

 18 For her house inclines to death, and her paths lead to the dead.

 19 None that go to her return again, neither do they take hold of the paths of life.

 20 That you may walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

 21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

 22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors [sinners, saved or not] shall be rooted out of it.2

1 The reverential and obedient fear of the Lord is not to be afraid of him punishing you, but rather to be afraid of disappointing him; for as you become acquainted with and dedicated to God, you will trust his judgment of you as totally perfect. Therefore you are obedient to all of His commands, without regard to yourself. Whatever His judgment and commands, you know they will be true and right; and always for your best interest.

However, in the beginning of your seeking God, you must understand that: 1) his fury will be inflicted on those who do not listen to him and remain in sin, and 2) walking after the selfish imagination of a man's own hearts is worse than worshipping wood or stone idols. Jer 16:11-12. Whatever you may have heard from the blind guides of Christendom, God does not tolerate sin; and God sees every thought, word, and deed of every man on the earth. There is nothing hidden from his eyes and ears.

So, woe to those who call themselves Christians who have no fear of God; who continue to sin throughout their lives, thinking Christ is their excuse to sin; who have no fear of God's wrath and punishment for continuing to sin; who fear those who kill the body, but do not fear him who can destroy the body and soul, casting them into Hell. It is not too late to wake up. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Heb 12:14

You can be sure: No sexually immoral, or impure, or covetous person, who is an is idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with vain words. For because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Eph 5:5-6. It is not too late to wake up.

The acts of the sinful nature include sexual immorality, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, [greed], sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, rage, selfish ambitions, pride, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries [partying], etc.
...those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:19-21
. It is not too late to wake up.

After the Lord has shown you the evil in your heart and life, and after you have departed from evil, and hate evil, and shun evil, you will eventually be filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit, including God's love. Then love will have been perfected in you. Then you will know no fear, because perfect love expels all fear; and your conscience will be sprinkled with the blood of Jesus, purging even the memory of your guilt, so you can serve the living God. You will have boldness in the day of judgment. But you will still reverence God with awe of his power and glory; as George Fox said in his Doctrinal Book regarding godly fear - "To fear God, is not to grieve nor offend Him, but to be subject to Him and reverence Him." And that he would grant to us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. Luke 1:74-5

2 the perfect shall remain in the earth, but the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. This is a prophecy that has not occurred worldwide yet; but the time is fast approaching. Related messages from the word of the Lord within in 2008: "There has never been a time like this; all men will twist in the earth. Listen everyone! There is a time coming when the Voice of the Lord will be heard by everyone; take heed and obey. I will give recompense to my enemies. There is a time coming when all men of the earth will be tried. Behold, I bring a plague upon the whole earth. I will destroy all men without light. I will fill the whole earth with the bodies of dead men."

As Revelation predicts, there is a time coming when all the sinners (saved or not) of the earth will be destroyed. As above in verse 21, only the perfect will remain; these are the Lord's Saints. The Lord will then rule the earth through his Saints (those purified, without sin) with a rod of iron.
