1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was god.1 [Christ is the Word of God; his name is the word of God. The Bible is not the Word; the Bible is scriptures. "The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning. Then I was by him, as one brought up with him; and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him." Pro 8:22-30.]

3 All things were made by him; and there was nothing made without him. [him is Jesus.]

12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no one understands, except he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God.1 [Click to see the 125 scripture verses that state: "the word of the Lord came, speaking" and "the word of God came, speaking."]

16 And he has on his garment and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the visible things were not made from anything we can see. [The worlds were created by the Lord Jesus Christ, who created all things in heaven and earth, and whose name is "the word of God." As George Fox said, "To think the Bible framed the worlds is ridiculous." The word is the Spirit, not a scripture. This one of several scriptures that prove the word, the word of God, and the word of the Lord all mean Christ, not the Bible.]

5 For they are willingly ignorant of this, that the heavens were made long ago, and the earth formed out of the water and by water and by the word of God, [Jesus, whose name is "the word of God," created all the heavens and the earth, and all that is in them.]

6 Through which [word and water] the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. [In the time of the flood, no scripture existed, and scriptures cannot create or destroy.]

7 But by the same word the present heavens and the earth are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.1 [These three verses clearly prove that "the word" or "the word of God" is not the Bible; instead the word is the all-powerful, living creator and judge: Jesus, the word of God, who created all things in heaven and earth, and whose name is "the word of God." To think the Bible created the worlds is ridiculous; to think the Bible destroyed the world is ridiculous; to think the Bible can destroy ungodly people is ridiculous; and so it is ridiculous to call the Bible "the word." Jesus and "the word" are one in the same.]

23 To be born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the word of God that lives and lasts forever.7 [This verse is universally mistranslated to read "Having been born again," but the Greek is not past tense ; and you cannot be born again if you haven't yet received salvation, or you haven't yet seen the Lord, both of which are lacking as stated in earlier verses 8-9. The Bible does not live and last forever, but Christ, the Word of God, does live and last forever.]

25 But the word of the Lord endures forever." And this is the word [the word in your heart] by which the gospel is preached to you.8 [The Bible does not endure forever, but Christ, the Word of God, does endure forever. The Spirit of Christ, the Word God, has preached the gospel to every creature under heaven. Col 1:23]
