Galatians 5:26 Display Chapter and Footnotes   26 Let us not be vain-glorious and conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another. | Romans 13:13 Display Chapter and Footnotes   13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in revelry [partying] and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and excess, not in strife and envying. [From the Word of the Lord within: "Everyone, make it your ambition to lead a quiet and peaceful life. Have nothing to do with the evils of society. Everyone should put away what they are doing for the sake of righteousness. You do not have to go to Him to end your social life."] | Galatians 5:19-21 Display Chapter and Footnotes   19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: sexual immorality (including adultery and fornication), impurity, lust, [The works of the flesh are sin, and the wages of sin are death. From the Word of the Lord within: "Consequence-free sin does not exist; the consequences are truly staggering. There is a war you must win: sin must be overcome; the fleshly lusts war against your soul."] 20 Idolatry (including covetousness), sorcery, hatred, arguments, jealousy, anger, ambition, divisiveness, factions, [From the Word of the Lord within: "Do not be misled; anger must be eliminated to enter the kingdom."] 21 Envy, drunkenness, revelry (partying), and the like; which I say beforehand, as I have said before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.4 [All men do works of the flesh because their hearts are defiled until they have been crucified on the inward cross of self-denial, and in no way shall there enter into heaven anything that is defiled. Rev 21:27. Fruit of the flesh includes: sexual immorality, uncleanness, covetousness, filthiness, foolish talking, jesting, profanity, adultery, lack of restraint, sorcery, hatred, arguments, jealousies, rage, selfish ambition, divisiveness, envies, murders, drunkenness, revelries (partying), evil thoughts, fornications, wickedness, deceit, blasphemy, pride, anger, boasting, flattery, immodesty, immorality, and foolishness; any of these disqualify any man from heaven.] | Mark 7:21-23 Display Chapter and Footnotes   21 For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, [The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked...Jer 17:9] 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lack of restraint, an evil eye [envy], blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. [..for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth...Gen 8:21] 23 All these evil things come from within a man, and defile him."3 [Every man's heart starts filled with evil, filled with sin, defiled, and disqualified for heaven. Unless your heart is cleansed and purified by the Lord's Spirit that destroys sin within man, every man walks according to the ways of the world and the god of this world, fulfilling their desires and lusts of their flesh according to their thoughts, according to their evil imagination, according to their carnal minds that are enmity against God and cannot be subject to the law of God. Every man is judged by their words and works, including those who claim to be Christians; God shows partiality to no man. From the word of the Lord within: "Only a heart that is purged of sin is acceptable to God. Everyone is expecting Jesus to be their excuse. If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to Me. See myself — thus no sin has a place in me. You are without excuse O man. Sin in believers is intolerable. The pure is innocent of all defilement." You can think you are a Christian and call Him "Lord," but if you die still sinning, you are banned from heaven. All defiled men are banned from heaven. When purified by grace, men are translated into heaven while on earth and then forever. To be freed of sin, even the desire to sin, you must obey the Lord's spoken commands that you expose yourself to hear, by waiting on Him in humble silence as you listen and watch; that is the one thing needed. Luke 10:39-42.] | 2 Corinthians 12:20 Display Chapter and Footnotes   20 For I fear, that when I come I will not find you as I would wish you to be; and that I will not be found by you as you would wish to find me; so that perhaps there may be debates, envying, wraths, strife, backbitings, whisperings, arrogance, and disorder. | James 3:14,16 Display Chapter and Footnotes   14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, do not glory about it and be false to the truth. 16 For where envying and strife exist, there is confusion and every evil work. | James 4:5 Display Chapter and Footnotes   5 Do you think that the scripture said in vain, "The spirit that dwells in us lusts with envy?" | Titus 3:3 Display Chapter and Footnotes   3 For we ourselves were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving many lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. [You are still serving your lusts and pleasures until your selfish spirit, carnal mind, and evil imagination have been crucified, (destroyed by the Spirit), when you receive the mind of Christ and new life, the newly created nature of true righteousness and holiness of Christ.] |
