14 Which is the earnest [deposit guarantee] of our inheritance until the coming redemption with our full possession of the Spirit, to the praise of his glory.5 [You receive the Holy Spirit after a time of obedience, (Acts 5:32), to the Word within your heart, but you are still not redeemed. Redemption is still a coming event that occurs with the full possession of the Spirit, which is to possess the fullness of God and Christ to be a perfect man.]
30 And do not grieve the holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed unto the day of redemption.8 [By obedience you receive the seal of the Holy Sprit, but you are still not redeemed. George Fox writes of when you are redeemed: "Men are justified by the believing, and in the faith and by the faith, and in believing they overcome, and have victory; and there are mortification, and sanctification, and redemption, and justification, all possessed together in the one, which is Christ, and this to the particular satisfaction."]
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, that is, the redemption of our body. [Notice, they are waiting on redemption. How does one wait? To wait on God is to persistently sit in humble silence, listen for his voice and words, watch for his revelations, hear his commands, and then obey Him; only those who heed and obey Him receive eternal salvation, Heb 5:9; redemption occurs with the receipt of eternal salvation which is to be seen, witnessed.]
12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. [To partake is to share in the inheritance of a son, who is in union with Christ and the Father. To be a saint in the light is to have experienced the light to arise in your heart like a magnificent star; and then be guided by God, who is light, in everything to do and say; thus to be walking according to His will, not your own will any longer. From the Word of the Lord within: "Walking in the light is to be guided through life by God; walking in darkness is making your own decisions as to what to do and say. First the light arises, then the kingdom. Light comes from faith in the voice. The arising of the light will be unmistakable; it is an ego-shattering experience.>"]
13 Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son;1 [where you are raised up together to sit with Christ in heaven. See the Footnote below to read George Fox's account of his translation into the kingdom with the righteousness of God, the peace of quietness with unquestionable assurance, and inexpressible joy. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth." As George Fox ministered on the earth, he was translated to paradise; and then he lived in paradise.]
14 In whom we have redemption, the release from the bondage of sins2 through his blood;
13 As we receive the blessed fulfillment of our hope, even the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ, [From the Word of the Lord within: "The second coming is a personal experience. The second coming is in the hearts of purified believers."]
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity [lawless deeds, sin], and purify for himself a people who are his very own, zealous for good works.1 [Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh (sinful nature), Gal 5:24, to become pure. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27. From the Word of the Lord within: "If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to Me."]
|Luke 21:26-28 |
26 Men's hearts will fail them for fear and the expectation of those things that are coming on the earth; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [Heaven appears to our spiritual eye as in a mist or in clouds — so, his coming is on the clouds of heaven, within the hearts of purified believers — just like he ascended: he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. Acts 1:9. Even Daniel in 538 BC saw Jesus coming on the clouds of heaven: I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. Dan 7:13.]
28 Now when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near."
