1 Therefore, my dearly beloved and longed for brothers, my joy and crown, stand fast in the Lord.
16 Holding fast [treasuring] the word of life; so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run or labored in vain.
1 Thessalonians 5:21,3:8
21 Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good.
8 For now we really live, if you stand fast in the Lord.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful who promised.
6 But Christ is a son over his own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
3 Remember therefore what you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent.2 If you do not wake up and watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
13 I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is; yet you hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith, even in those days when Antipas my faithful martyr was slain among you, where Satan dwells. [Notice again! Jesus is referencing their works.]
11 Behold, I am coming quickly. Hold fast to what you have, so that no man takes your crown.
25 But what you already have, hold fast until I come. [2000 years ago, He told these people "hold fast until I come!" Jesus does not deceive people, and the people He addressed are long gone from this earth. For his statement to be true, He had to have come to them thousands of years ago. He comes to every man in all generations who has worked hard to follow His spoken commands to them. The return of Jesus is a personal experience in the hearts of purified believers; He is seen, He appears, He is revealed. From the Word of the Lord within: "I will come again to the elect; I will be their crown to lead and guide them."]
1 Peter 5:9
9 Resist him, standing fast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being experienced by all your brothers in the world. [All who are determined to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Tim 3:12.]
1 Corinthians 15:2
2 And by which you are saved, if you keep fast what I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain.
27 Only let your conduct be as becomes the gospel of Christ; that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.
Galatians 5:1
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
