|2 Peter 1:4|
4 By which exceedingly great and precious promises are given to us, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.1
5 And when we were dead in our sins, He brought us to life in union and fellowship with Christ;2 it is through grace that you are saved; [but you have not been saved by grace until you have been brought to life in union and fellowship with Christ, having been raised up together with Christ into heaven. From the Word of the Lord within: "Saved by grace; but what about the rest of that chapter? You have not experienced grace until you have been raised with Him. Salvation occurs when you are one with Christ and God. Once you are in union, it is permanent." Until brought to union, because of Adam, we all are dead in our sins, dead to the life of God, Gen 2:17,3:24, having been cut off from the tree of life.]
19 So to know the love of Christ, which exceeds all knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones.4
20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.3 [From the Word of the Lord within: "Salvation occurs when you are one with Christ and God. Once you are in union, it is permanent."]
23 And Jesus answered and said to him, "If a man loves me, he will obey my spoken words; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him5 [in his heart; and they live in a kingdom, into which you are translated. When you are translated into the kingdom, (while still alive on earth), you also see Him. Jesus appears in your heart. Jesus is revealed. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them, and be their God." Rev 21:3.]
20 Neither do I pray for these alone, but also for those also who will believe in me through their word [teachings];
21 That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us3 so that the world may believe that you have sent me. [From the Word of the Lord within: "Salvation occurs when you are one with Christ and God. Once you are in union, it is permanent."]
22 And the glory which you gave me I have given them; so that they may be one, just as we are one.
23 I in them, and you in me,4 that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.
11 For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified [not in process, but completed] are all of one;3 for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers, [Since he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit, a man must first be sanctified before becoming one with the Lord, who is undefiled and separate from sinners. George Fox writes of when you are sanctified: "a believer that is justified is a new creature, is past from the death which came by sin, and comes to enter into His rest, where there is no sin. He who is the sanctification, is the justification, and so by their sanctification are they justified; it is one and the same, what sanctifies, justifies....Men are justified by the believing, and in the faith and by the faith, and in believing they overcome, and have victory; and there are mortification, and sanctification, and redemption, and justification, all possessed together in the one, which is Christ, and this to the particular satisfaction." When you have been born again and protected from ever sinning again, you are sanctified.]
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold firm the beginning of our confidence to the end, [We can enter union with Christ and God if we through the Spirit mortify the sinful nature, which occurs if we heed and obey Him as we persistently and patiently wait for Him. To wait on God is to persistently sit in humble silence, listen for his voice and words, watch for his revelations, hear his commands, and then obey His voice.]
13 Until we all come to the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;5 [If you are a perfect man and possess the fullness of Christ, you have everything possible: including fellowship with Christ and the Father, raised to heaven, sitting with Christ in the kingdom, in union with Christ and God, free from even the desire to sin, pure, holy, sanctified, permanently cleansed and perfected, and protected from ever sinning again — all while still alive on earth.]
|1 Corinthians 6:17 |
17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.4 [From the Word of the Lord within: "Listen to and obey my voice; listen to my sweet words of wisdom. If you pay attention and obey, it results in union with God. He joins with our cleansed nature. We must become like Him to merge with Him."]
