5 Then Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin." John 8:34. A slave to sin is someone whose master and Lord is sin. If you are still sinning, Jesus is not your Lord, and you do not belong to Him. Whoever is born of God does not commit sin, for his seed [Christ] remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9 So if you are still sinning, you have not been born of God. Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves slaves to obey, you are the slaves of whom you obey; whether of sin to that leads to death, or of obedience that leads to righteousness? Rom 6:16. From the Word of the Lord within: "If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to Me. Those who belong to Christ are through with sin. Remember, every person who sins, denies Him as Lord and Master." Your challenge is to be set free from sin by Him, thus to be a slave to righteousness instead, only speaking the words you hear Him tell you to speak immediately before speaking and only doing what He orders you to do.
