1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers and pilgrims1 scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, [From the Word of the Lord within: "Peter did not start writing until he was eighty-two years of age."]
2 Who are chosen sojourners according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, being set apart by the Spirit for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be yours in full measure. [They have been set apart, but their obedience and the sprinkling of blood is yet to come. Notice these people have been chosen to make the journey; they have not yet completed the journey, and no journey is instantly started and completed. What journey?—the journey of faith from beginning belief and hope to salvation: freedom from sin, the kingdom of God, and then union with God; to have been cleansed and perfected forever, protected from ever sinning again.]
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy will produce again for us to live through the raising up of Jesus Christ from the spiritually dead,2 [These believers are spiritually dead, (without the life of God), still living in their sins, but they have the hope of Christ being resurrected within them to new life; they have yet to receive salvation, so it is impossible for them to already be born again as this verse was mistranslated by the deficit sects' scholars, steeped in the doctrines of Babylon.]
4 To an inheritance that is incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved for you in heaven,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. [This verse is strong proof that the instant salvation of today's Christianity is false. You are kept by the power of God to reach the day of salvation, providing you stay on the inward cross of self-denial in the narrow way.]
6 In that greatly rejoice though it is necessary to suffer a few griefs now through various trials, [To receive salvation and the kingdom you first must suffer through tribulations and hardships. This has been mistranslated to be: you may have to suffer; there is no mention of may or if necessary in the Greek. Indeed, all who are determined to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Tim 3:12. The same sufferings are being experienced by all your brothers in the world. 1 Pet 5:9. Salvation comes after suffering. "For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and scourges every son whom he accepts. If you are without chastisement [correcting rebuke and discipline], of which all [true sons of God] must share, then you are illegitimate, and not sons." Heb 12:6,8]
7 So that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tried with fire, might result in praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; though you do not see him now, but believe in him, you rejoice with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,
9 Receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls.3 [Salvation comes after suffering; in fact, there are seven trials every son must endure before salvation and being accepted as a son.]
10 Concerning this salvation the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, have inquired and searched diligently,
11 Searching to whom, or in what time the Spirit of Christ who was working in them indicated, when He testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
12 It was revealed to them, that it was not to themselves, but to us they made known the things that are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; things that the angels desire to look into.
13 Therefore be resolute of mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;4
14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts of the time of your ignorance;
17 And if you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in reverent fear; [Notice! God judges all persons without partiality according to every man's work; all persons includes those in the churches to whom Peter was writing; for if you are not holy, (still sinning), when you die, you are defiled and will be banned from heaven. From the word of the Lord within: "Everyone is expecting Jesus to be their excuse. No man is promoted or excused that repeats sin. Only a heart that is purged of sin is acceptable to God."]
18 You know that from your vain way of life, handed down from your ancestors, you were ransomed, not with perishable things like silver and gold,
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
20 Who was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for your sake.
21 Through Him you trust in God, who raised Him from the dead and to gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope exist in God.
22 Purify your souls by obeying the truth into unfeigned love6 of the brothers, dearly loving one another fervently with a pure heart; [This has been mistranslated as having purified your souls. It is impossible to have purified your soul and still be without salvation; so they have yet to purify their souls. The original Greek Net Bible shows that "purify" in this verse is not past tense, it is present tense; and Footnote 5 in the original Greek Net Bible shows this verse to read "pure heart" in early manuscripts; later manuscripts eliminated the word "pure" to simply read "heart" not "pure heart."]
23 To be born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the word of God that lives and lasts forever.7 [The Bible does not live and last forever, but Christ, the Word of God, does live and last forever.]
25 But the word of the Lord endures forever." And this is the word [the word in your heart] by which the gospel is preached to you.8 [The Bible does not endure forever, but Christ, the Word of God, does endure forever. The Spirit of Christ, the Word God, has preached the gospel to every creature under heaven. Col 1:23]
1 strangers and pilgrims. For a true seeker of God, seeking with his whole heart and soul, is a stranger to the earth. He has removed himself from being absorbed in the world's customs, traditions, pastimes, friendships, pleasures, and religions — while journeying in faith to his new home, as the highest priority in his life, the Kingdom of Heaven. As did Abraham, Joseph, Moses, and many other giants of the faith; they all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them by faith at a long way off, and were convinced of them, and embraced them, confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
2 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy will produce again for us to live through the raising up of Jesus Christ from the spiritually dead. Looking at each word in the original Greek for this verse, we can see the true meaning, which is: (the strangers and pilgrims chosen by God to be sojourners) look forward to the Father producing new life in them through the resurrection of Jesus Christ within them when they are dead in their sins, (though they have not yet witnessed His appearance in them nor have they received salvation).
This verse is has been grossly mistranslated to incorrectly read: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Yet in verses 8 and 9 below they have not yet seen Him, and they have yet to receive their salvation, which is impossible; you cannot be born again and not have salvation.
Keeping true to the original Greek's possible translations, verses 2, 18, 21, 22, and 23 have also been changed to reflect the accuracy of these sojourners having Jesus raised within them, the future purifying of their souls, the future being born again; none of which could already have occurred to someone who is yet to receive salvation, yet to receive the end of grace, and yet to experience the appearance of Jesus or the revealing of Jesus.
3 Peter shows that salvation is not believing or faith, rather salvation is the end of faith's obedient journey: Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In that greatly rejoice though it is necessary to suffer a few griefs now through various trials, so that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tried with fire, might result in praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him; though you do not see him now, but believe in him, you rejoice with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls. 1 Pet 1:5-9.
This has been mistranslated to be: you may have to suffer; but there is no mention of may or if necessary in the Greek. The translators, themselves not having suffered at the hand of the Lord, added may and if necessary, thinking that suffering is not necessary. Yet other scriptures clearly state:
Salvation comes after suffering; in fact, there are seven trials every son must endure before being accepted as a son.
Believing is not salvation, as Paul and Peter repeatedly emphasize, writing to churches of believers:
4 Therefore be resolute of mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Hope to the end. The end of what? The end of your journey to salvation; the union; the day of the Lord; the entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. Hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought (mark! grace that is still to come, future tense) to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Here is Peter telling them the Revelation of Jesus Christ was coming to them 2000 years ago. For the appearance of Jesus Christ is within a man: He will appear the second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Heb 9:28. And John says: When he appears, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. Everyone with this hope purifies himself, just as he is pure. 1 John 3:2-3. And we desire that everyone of you do show the same diligence in realizing the full assurance of hope to the end, Heb 6:11.
The New Testament is full of references to the second appearance of Jesus being then, not thousands of years later. In Matthew, Mark, and Luke, Jesus is recorded saying that some then standing with him, 2000 years ago, would see his glorious coming in the clouds with the Kingdom before they died. In addition Paul, Jesus preaching, Jesus in Revelation, Peter, James, and John, — all said, soon, the time is near, a little while, he stands at the door. Christendom blithely ignores this gaping incongruity between what the Bible plainly states vs. what they are taught by their blind guides. It would be a cruel hoax to be waiting on Him to appear if the past 100 generations of believers actually had no hope of ever seeing Him.
5 As he who has called you is holy, so you be holy in all manner of conduct. What kind of holiness is required? As Jesus was holy, you are required to be holy. From the word of the Lord within: "You must be holy as I am holy. Pursue righteousness and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord." So we are to be holy like Jesus was holy; we are to be righteous, like Jesus was righteous, and we are to be perfect, like the Father is perfect. Peter reminds the believers that they have given up their former lusts. But those who call themselves Christians of the deficit sects, are still following their lusts: lusts of the flesh, (exotic foods, drink, sex, drugs), and lusts of the eye, (cars, clothes, home furnishings). Lust is covetousness, which is to want something from people or things themselves. Instead we are supposed to forsake our lusts, putting them behind us, and be holy in all manner of conduct. This is the order to those who aspire to salvation: Be holy as Jesus was holy; however, this is something that no matter how hard you try, you can't do it until the Lord purifies your heart and soul by you going to him — waiting, listening, hearing, and obeying — repetitively, enduring until the end, when He brings your salvation and eternal life, the superior life of God.
6 A purified soul. How?—by obeying the truth. What truth?—the truth He speaks to you and you hear, particularly His commands to repent from your evil conducts.
How? You must go to him. You must wait on him — listen silently, with the humility of a sinner in need of his changing power — grace.
Wait, watch, listen, hear, obey... wait, watch, listen, hear, obey..... seek, listen, obey.. You must endure to the end, when Christ brings salvation.
You must abide in him. Now little children abide in him, that when he appears you may have confidence in him. 1 John 2:28
7 the word of God that lives and lasts forever. The Bible does not live, nor does the Bible last forever. The Bible is not the word of God. The Bible is not alive. The Bible is the letter. The letter kills, the spirit gives life, 2 Cor 3:6. If the letter kills, it is dead; so the letter is dead. But the word of God, who is the Spirit of Jesus, lives and lasts forever.
8 But the word of the Lord endures forever. The Bible does not endure forever, but Christ, the Word of God, does endure forever.
And this is the word by which the gospel is preached to you. The gospel is not preached to you by a book of scriptures. The gospel was preached to Abraham by the Lord, and Abraham was before any scripture had been written. The Spirit of Christ, the Word of God, lives, lasts, and endures forever. The gospel was preached (past tense) in every creature under the heaven. Col 1:23. Christ preaches the gospel to every man, as the Spirit, the Word of God, in a man's heart speaks to him.
