|2 Corinthians 13:3-4 |
3 Since you seek proof of Christ speaking in me;1 who is not weak toward you, but is mighty in you.
4 For though he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. And though we are also weak in him, we will live with him by the power of God toward you.
1 Paul says: Christ speaking in me. So Paul's words were supplied by Christ. Paul said: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ who lives in me. Gal 2:20; and he received the gospel through the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and God was pleased to reveal his son in me. Just like Jesus said he never said anything on his own, only what he heard the Father say: whatever I speak is just as the Father has told me to speak. John 12:49-50. To have Christ in control of our thoughts, words, and deeds is to make him our true Lord; and this is the requirement and end of salvation — to be born again as an entirely new creature, with Jesus resurrected in us, as our King, Master, and Lord.
