2 Corinthians 6:14-17 Display Chapter and Footnotes   14 Do not be mismatched with unbelievers for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness?1 15 And what harmony does Christ have with Belial [the devil]? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? [Do not be deceived. Evil companions corrupt good manners, morals, and integrity. 1 Cor 15:33.] 16 And what agreement can the temple of God have with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." [From the Word of the Lord within: "Those who belong to Christ are through with sin. If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to me. Let the word of Christ richly dwell in you. If you give heed to my words, I will dwell in you and walk in you."] 17 Therefore "come out from among them, and be separate," says the Lord, "and touch no unclean thing; and I will receive you.2 |

Some of God's people are still in Christendom Babylon; God is pleading with his elect to leave the false churches. You will never see salvation if you stay in Babylon, who promises you heaven even though you still sin — who tells you that you must physically die before experiencing heaven — who tells you that you will go to heaven and escape Hell (saved) by believing that Jesus is the Son of God and/or being water baptized.
