22 Flee youthful lusts; but aim at and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, in the company of those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. [Righteousness must be sought, pursued, and aimed at. We must seek His righteousness as the highest priority in our life. Mat 6:33. We must patiently wait, by faith, through the Spirit, for the hope of righteousness, Gal 5:5. Our obedience to what we hear the Lord speak to us leads to righteousness. Rom 6:16. Paul speaks of a fellowship with others who have a pure heart. Blessed are those are pure in heart for they shall see God, Mat 5:8; For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor 4:6.]

Faith must be demonstrated by works energized by love: first works of repentance, then to be led by the Spirit of Grace in how to live godly, soberly, and righteously in the present world until you are purified; then after purity to serve Him as He orders our works to his glory.]
