Acts 17:18-22

 18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoics, encountered him, and some said, "What is this babbler saying?" Others said, "He seems to be proclaiming strange gods;" because he preached Jesus and the resurrection to them.

 19 And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus [Mars' Hill], saying, "May we know what this new doctrine is, which you proclaim?

 20 For you bring certain strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean."

 21 (For all the Athenians and the strangers who were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell or to hear some new thing.)

 22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' Hill, and said, "You men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious.
