1 he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, Notice, the waiting is not like it was translated in verse 14 as footnote 3 details. The waiting is as it is detailed in Hebrews:
to those who persistently and patiently wait for him he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation. Heb 9:28
