3 Now as he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven shined around him.
4 And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"
5 Then I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and beheld a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6 His body also was like the beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes as lamps of fire, his arms and his feet were the color of polished brass, and the voice of his words was like the voice of a multitude.
7 And I Daniel saw the vision alone for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me for my peace was depleted in me, and I retained no strength.
9 Yet heard I the voice of his words; and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 And, behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said to me, "O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you and stand upright for to you I have now been sent." And when he had spoken these words to me, I stood trembling.
16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the sound. Rottenness entered into my bones; I trembled in myself. I will wait quietly for the day of trouble when one comes up against the people who will invade them with his troops.
|Psalms 32:3,109:24 |
3 When I kept silent about my sin, my bones wasted away through my groaning all the day long.
24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh fails of fatness.
