Colossians 1:13

Display Chapter and Footnotes

13 Who has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear son;1 [Translated is to be raised up together to sit with Christ in heaven. We know Paul was perfect, still walking the earth, but living in in the kingdom for he wrote: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and "God...has raised us up together [with Christ], and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus," Eph 2:4,6; and "I charge you in the presence of God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels," 1 Tim 5:21; and "we are speaking in Christ in the presence of God," 2 Cor 2:17. The Colossians were not in the kingdom, based on verse 23 below. See the Footnote below to read George Fox's account of his translation into the kingdom. From the Word of the Lord within: "Do not be misled; you must enter the kingdom while on earth. You can live in heaven and still walk the earth." As George Fox ministered on the earth, he was translated to paradise; and then he lived in paradise. There is a guide to several other early Quakers' testimony of reaching the kingdom of God while on earth.]

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and take you to myself; so that where I am, there you may be also.1 [This applies to all his disciples, now and then; it refers to being translated into the Kingdom of Heaven, and to be raised with Christ to sit down in heavenly places in Christ while still alive on the earth. If any man wants to serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will also be. John 12:26. Your sight and consciousness are in heaven, but you are still on the earth serving the Lord. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth. I will come again to the elect; I will be a crown to lead and guide them." As George Fox ministered on the earth, he was translated to paradise; and then he lived in paradise.]

24 Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am;5 that they may behold my glory, which you have given me. For you loved me before the foundation of the world. [This applies to all his disciples, now and then. It refers to being translated into the Kingdom of Heaven, and to be raised with Christ to sit down in heavenly places in Christ; yet they are not taken out of the world (verse 15 above), physically; their consciousness and sight are in the peace of Heaven, viewing the earth from afar, (an immense spiritual gulf), through the eyes of God. If any man wants to serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will also be. John 12:26. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth. I will come again to the elect; I will be a crown to lead and guide them." As George Fox ministered on the earth, he was translated to paradise; and then he lived in paradise.]

20 Now when he was questioned by the Pharisees, as to when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with outward signs to be observed.

21 Nor will they say, 'Look here!' or, 'Look over there!' For behold, the kingdom of God is within you and around you."1 [The Kingdom of God, which is within you and around you, is a parallel dimension that occupies the same physical space in which we live. To enter the Kingdom of God within and around us, is to be dramatically translated to the spiritual dimension of consciousness and sight, in union with Christ and God, but walking on earth by the light of God. The world ends as you step into a different parallel dimension; when the Kingdom is entered, the world passes away from our sight. "The Father is in you all, Christ is in you, and the Kingdom of Heaven is in you; there, in your hearts, is where you will find them all. Know him there searching your hearts, and find him there trying your minds and hearts; incline your ears, and give ear to him there, who will render to everyone of you according to your words and works whether they are good or evil," (by George Fox). Turn inward. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth. Do not be misled; you must enter the kingdom while on earth. ]
