|Colossians 1:28-29 |
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.6 [There are many scripture references to the requirement of perfection in the New Testament, (click to see), and in the Old Testament too, (click to see).]
29 For this purpose I labor, striving according to his power that works mightily in me.
6 we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To enter the Kingdom you must let God make you pure and perfect by his grace, you must crucify you lusts and affections — mortifying the deeds of the body. Notice, Paul says: warning every man; for if you don't persist in seeking his grace, if you don't strive to enter by the narrow gate and the compressed way, if you don't lose your life to save it, you will fall short of the mark — and fail to produce fruit, fail to please God, and fail to enter the Kingdom.
