 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.1

 4 Just as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy2 and without blame before him in love.

2 We must be holy and blameless. You cannot be holy without your selfish, Satanic, human nature dying on the inward cross self-denial. For God has not called us unto uncleanness, but to holiness. 1 Thes 4:7. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Heb 12:14.
