And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, Koz, and of Barzillai; who had taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite and were called by their name.
These searched for their names among those who were registered in the genealogies, but they were not found; therefore were they excluded from the priesthood as unclean.
And the Tirshatha [governor] said that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there should be a priest with Urim and Thummim.
The whole congregation numbered forty two thousand three hundred sixty,
Beside their men and women servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty seven; and among them were two hundred men and women singers.

Now when they arrived at the temple of the LORD at Jerusalem, some of the heads of families made freewill offerings for the temple of God to rebuild it in its place.
According to their ability, they gave to the treasury for the work sixty one thousand drams of gold [about 1,100 pounds], five thousand minas of silver [about 3 tons], and one hundred priests' garments.
So the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the Nethinims, settled in their cities, and the rest of the Israelites settled in their cities.
