14 For by one offering he has forever totally cleansed and perfected those who are sanctified and made holy.1 [From the Word of the Lord within: "Either make the tree good, or make the tree bad. A tree that is holy is a good one. We seek a lasting perfection of holiness. Grace destroys sin. The changes that the Spirit makes are long lasting. We seek a permanent relationship. In the Old Testament it was not a permanent relationship; they often lost it. Temporary perfection is replaced by permanent perfection. Once you are in union, it is permanent."]

12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that he might sanctify the people with his own blood.
14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purge your conscience from dead works [from your own will] to serve the living God?1 [The third witness in the earth, the blood of Jesus, is sprinkled in the heart and conscience; by which blood you are sanctified and are cleansed from all your dead works to serve the living God and to serve your dead works no longer, dead works being your deeds and words that originated from your own will, your carnal mind, your evil imagination — dead works done by men that are dead to the life of God that Adam lost for all men. Works of obedient faith to God's orders are not dead works and are essential works of life. From the Word of the Lord within: "When you are purged from dead works, you are freed from serving iniquity to serving God. Happy are they who serve God in His kingdom." Dead works also include obsolete works of the law such as: sacrifices, circumcision, tithing, days, sabbaths, foods, etc.]
