|Hebrews 8:4-6,10:1-3 |
4 If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the law,
5 Who serve as an example and a shadow of heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown to you on the mount."
6 But now he [Christ] has obtained a more excellent ministry, since he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
1 For the law was a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things; therefore by those sacrifices, continually offering year by year, it can never make the observers of it lastingly perfect.
2 If it were possible, would they not have stopped their offerings? Because if the worshippers were once made perfect, they would have had no more consciousness of sins.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.
