|Isaiah 8:20 |
20 Rather than to the law and to the testimony? If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light of the morning in them.2
2 If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light of the morning in them; the light has not dawned on them, which light is Christ. If the so-called prophets do not encourage people to seek God, (Note: seek God, not assume they have God by some ritual), then they have no light of the morning in them. What is this light? All men who come into the world have a small measure of light, which is the light of the Word, Jesus Christ. The light shines in darkness, chained down, quietly pleading for a man to reject his evil ways; but to be guided by light requires an additional measure of light. The additional measure Isaiah refers to as the light of the morning appearing in a man, after he has repetitively sought God, listened to Him, obeyed Him, and then have been changed by Him to become progressively pure of heart and soul; and then God causes his light to shine in a man's heart as the morning star arises in the heart; the morning star being Jesus, and his face appearing in ever increasing glory, which shows a man the glory of God. Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12.
