² on this mountain he will destroy the covering of the face that is cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. The understanding of the peoples of the earth is veiled. They are covered so they cannot see the evil of their ways; neither can they understand how radically different from God they are, failing to measure up to what is required to dwell in heaven. When a man seeks God, that veil is removed by the Holy Spirit, which convinces a man of sin. The Holy Spirit is given to those who, when seeking the Lord's voice, are obedient to Him; and when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
