3 Incline your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul shall live;2 and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies promised to David. [To come to Him, we go directly to Him, by sitting in humble silence as we wait on Him, listening for His voiced commands and teachings. From the Word of the Lord within: "We go to him, and he rains help on us; well does this exercise of God purify those who do. Come to me with the hope of speaking and acting righteously."]

2 The way to salvation: incline your ear, and come to me. Hear, [and obey] and your soul shall live. But heed you literalists, who take single verses out of context to convince yourself you are saved: do not think you can just hear and obey once! You must persistently go to Him, wait, listen, watch, hear, and obey until you witness and see Jesus bringing your salvation. To acquire more of the Holy Spirit, more truth, more life, more of Jesus, you must get quiet, wait on Him, listen, hear, and obey. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life-giving. John 6:63. Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Proverbs 8:34. You must persevere to the end: he who perseveres and endures to the end will be saved. Mat 10:22. What end?

Therefore be resolute of mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Peter 1:13. So grace is brought to you at the end, the revealing of Christ within a man...but he who perseveres and endures to the end will be saved. Mat 10:22 . (The end is Christ's appearance in you, which is the end of grace's bringing salvation to you.)
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, Tit 2:11.
He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Heb 9:28.
