|Isaiah 9 |
1 Nevertheless, the dimness shall no longer be upon those who were in distress, when at the first he humbled the land of Zebulon and the land of Napthali, but in the latter time he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan.
2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined.1[All men sit in darkness and walk in darkness until their hearts have been purged from the evil that defiles them. From the Word of the Lord within: "First the light arises, then the kingdom. Light comes from faith in the voice."]
3 You have multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy. They rejoice before you according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
4 For you have broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
6 For to us a child is born to us, a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders; and his name called wonderful, counselor, god, mighty, the eternal prince of peace. [The Babylonian translators of most every Bible, in an attempt to lend credibility to their invented "trinity doctrine" with Jesus being the same as "the Father," have translated one Hebrew word to mean "Father" plus "Prince," but in this verse the Hebrew word, sar- <8269>, has only the following possible meanings: prince, ruler, leader, chief, chieftain, official, captain. There is also no word anywhere in the alternative Greek text (LXXM) that means father. Before being born as a child in the earth, Jesus ruled the heavens, (having been the firstborn in the dimension of the new creation), to then create all the worlds, the heavens, and all that is in them. Jesus possesses all the fullness of the Father, is the only visible representation of the Father, (the invisible God), and is the only begotten Son, (all other sons of God are adopted). Jesus did not claim to be God; Jesus said: 1)Ěhe was the Son of God, Luke 22:70; 2) the Father was greater than Him, John 14:28; and 3) "I ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God," John 20:17. ]
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with justice and with righteousness from this time forward even forever.2 The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
8 The Lord sent a word against Jacob, and it fell upon Israel.
9 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
10 The bricks have fallen down, but we will build better with hewn stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will plant better cedars in their place.
11 Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries [Syrians] of Rezin against him [Ephraim], and join his enemies together;
12 The Syrians in front [of Ephraim] , and the Philistines behind [Ephraim]; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his [the Lord's] anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
13 For the people do not turn to the Lord of Hosts when he smites them, neither do they seek him.
14 Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel; head and tail, both palm branch and rush, in one day.
15 The ancient and honorable — he is the head; and the prophet who teaches lies — he is the tail.
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and those who are led by them are destroyed.
17 Therefore the LORD will have no joy in their young men, neither will he have mercy on their fatherless and widows because everyone is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
18 For wickedness burns as the fire; it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
19 The land is darkened by the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire; no man shall spare his brother.
20 And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied. Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm.
21 Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh, shall together be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

1 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. We all walk in darkness until we have sought the Lord and have been purified by him, so that his light arises in our hearts, and we see the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus. And this is why Jesus came; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. Isa 42:7
2 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulders; and his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, god, mighty, the eternal prince of peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with justice and with righteousness from this time forward even forever. This is another wonderful prophecy of the birth of Jesus, the descendant of David, who sits on spiritual Israel's throne in heaven; and whose government shall increase without end with justice and righteousness forever — as it does today and forever.
