Hearing someone read words from the Bible does not make you a brother or relative of Jesus, but if you persistently and patiently go to Him, by sitting and waiting for Him in humble silence, listening for His words, and watching for His revelations, you will eventually become pure and be made a son of God, (a brother too, and co-heir with, Jesus), to be led and guided by Him in all your thoughts, words, and deeds. One hears Jesus, the word of God, speak to them from within their hearts; they believe in what they hear him speak to them to be true (thus to believe in Jesus), and so they obey him. From the Word of the Lord within: "Faith is to hear the Word of God and obey. Hear and live; the Spirit gives life with every word heard." As James wrote, "be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
