Christendom take this verse out of context, to create a false salvation. The original of this verse is in Joel 2:29-32: "before that great and terrible Day of the Lord, it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved for deliverance shall be in Mount Zion and Jerusalem, as the LORD has said; and among the remnant shall be those whom the LORD calls." To call on the name of the Lord and be saved only applies to the remnant in the Day of the Lord. So if you wish to be counted in that remnant to attain salvation on earth and enter the Kingdom with the eternal life of God, you first need to do much, much more than call on the name of the Lord. You need to first mortify the sinful deeds of the body in you by the Spirit because the Lord even gave us three detailed scriptures that show those who call on Him in judgment, having died while still sinning, are sent away, (to Hell). Mat 7:21-23, Luke 13:25-27, Mat 25:11-12.] |
