15 So that whoever believes in [depends on, trusts, obeys] him may have eternal life [of God]. [ Even the demons believe that Jesus is the Son of the most High God, and they tremble. It is not enough to believe Jesus is the Son of God, you must expose yourself to hear His spoken commands and persistently believe Him, evidenced by your obedience. You can have eternal life if you patiently and persistently wait on God in humble silence, believe Jesus' spoken commands to you that you hear, and then obey what He commands, so that you eventually enter union with Him. From the Word of the Lord within: "What is the evidence of your belief? — operational faith." We must believe enough to seek to listen for, hear, and obey God's voice — and the evidence of our faith is to produce the fruit of the spirit, thus to show ourselves to be true followers of Christ; and the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace (quietness and confident trust forever), patience (including longsuffering, steadfastness, and perseverance), kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, (including meekness and humility), and self-control (mastery of sensual appetites, desires, and passions). The branches that do not produce fruit are cast into the fire to be burned. John 15:6, Mat 7:19.]
