11 Now the parable means this: The seed is the word of God.1 [The Greek for word in this verse is logov <3056>, which in English means: 1) of speech; 1a) a word, uttered by a living voice, embodies a conception or idea; 1b) what someone has said. This does not refer to hearing the Bible read; instead it refers to hearing Jesus speak to you from within your heart. The Word of God is the name of Jesus, and there is a small measure of the Word and light in every man's heart, which is there so that we might hear it and obey it; that is the word of faith that the Apostles preached. John 1:1-4, John 1:7,9, Rev 19:13-16,Rom 10:8,17, Deu 30:10-14, Eph 4:21. The words we hear and receive with meekness are engrafted into our heart. James 1:21. The words he speaks to us are Spirit and impart the life of God to us. John 6:63.]

23 To be born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the word of God that lives and lasts forever.7 [This verse is universally mistranslated to read "Having been born again," but the Greek is not past tense ; and you cannot be born again if you haven't yet received salvation, or you haven't yet seen the Lord, both of which are lacking as stated in earlier verses 8-9. The Bible does not live and last forever, but Christ, the Word of God, does live and last forever.]

25 But the word of the Lord endures forever." And this is the word [the word in your heart] by which the gospel is preached to you.8 [The Bible does not endure forever, but Christ, the Word of God, does endure forever. The Spirit of Christ, the Word God, has preached the gospel to every creature under heaven. Col 1:23]

9 Whoever is born of God does not commit sin, for his seed [Christ] remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.5 [To be born again, you must be crucified, which destroys all desires to sin in you. As a new creature you are then raised to heaven by Jesus who shows you the Father, and then you belong to Jesus and the Father. Once you are in the Father's hand, you are protected from ever sinning again. "We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; instead God protects the one he has fathered, and the wicked one does not touch him." 1 John 5:18.]
