7 You hypocrites, Isaiah did correctly prophesy of you, saying,

8 'This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their hearts are far from me.1 [From the word of the Lord within: "The hypocrite may talk of faith and do evil. Remember, every person who sins denies Him as Lord and Master. If you are still sinning, you belong to sin and not to Me. Only a heart that is purged of sin is acceptable to God. Everyone is expecting Jesus to be their excuse. I've warned them and given them the requirements and preached the exclusions; they should not expect anything else or conclusion." Every man is judged by their words and works, including those who claim to be Christians; God shows partiality to no man. Until your heart has been washed, cleansed, and purified, your heart is full of sin, and you are defiled; and should you die still sinning, you will be banned from heaven.]

9 But in vain they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.'"2 [God is a Spirit, and those who worship him, must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24. So worship from your carnal mind, (which is enmity with God), speaking from your mind's will, praying from your mind, reciting a previous teaching, or singing from your mind, your words are spoken from your carnal mind and evil imagination, both repugnant to the Lord. The Apostle Paul and the early Quakers termed such worship, will-worship: worship according to man's will and mind, which mind is carnal and enmity with God. Worship in Spirit and Truth is worship with words supplied by the Spirit of God to someone who is also in the truth, (in Jesus, translated into the kingdom, in His presence); any other worship is idolatry and abomination, including all the so-called sacraments. From the word of the Lord within: "Sin in believers is intolerable. We need to get clean before we can truly worship. Christianity has no idea what I am or for what I stand. None of the churches reflect true Christianity. When they pray, they don't pray to God; they pray to their collective conscience." In vain does Christianity worship Jesus and God because they pray to an image they have created based on which scriptures they think are valid and their opinion of what those scriptures mean; thus creating an imagined image of God according to their collective conscience. Worshiping in vain, they also take His name in vain.]

2 In vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. As today Christendom's worship has man-invented, non-scriptural infant baptism, grape juice and bread, the "Apostle's Creed," the offering, the benediction, sermons, the sinner's prayer, altar calls, confirmation, bible reading, prayers from the preacher, standing to sing, kneeling, bowing to the cross, making the cross with your hand on your body, all the so-called sacraments, etc. All are the inventions of man, not scripture-prescribed forms of worship. Besides corrupting worship as described in the Bible, Christendom does not even recognize behaviors that disqualify it members; Christendom has lost sight of sin, calling evil good, good evil, putting light for darkness; Christendom says peace, peace, when there is no peace; Christendom says to the sinner who walks after the imagination of his own heart, "you are righteous because you belong to our sect, no evil shall befall you." From the Word of the Lord within: "Christendom has gutted the teachings of Jesus and have made the Bible an excuse for remaining immersed in their sins. Christianity has no idea what I am or for what I stand. None of the churches reflect true Christianity." Christendom ignores the Bible's exclusions, requirements, and qualifying conditions. Christendom tells their followers that the law is dead; except of course, they claim you are still required to tithe with your money. Christendom does not understand proper prayer, proper worship, waiting on God, grace, repentance, the inner law, the cross, the rest, the light, salvation, or the word; they perish for lack of knowledge. Christendom has broken the covenant — making the blood of Jesus and unholy thing, used to excuse sin in their members. Retribution for this spite of grace looms.

Christendom follows ordinances created by men: infant baptism, bread and wine as a ritual, water baptism, confirmation, confession, penance, last rites, hundreds of laws passed by the Roman sect called papal bulls, and Protestant-defined grace that supposedly results in instant salvation and excuses all past, present, and future sins. From the Word of the Lord within: "They think to be saved by making a noise about being saved.* Man with all his ordinances never saw the light of God."

* the noise they make is saying Jesus is Lord

God is a Spirit, and those who worship him, must worship him in spirit and in truth, John 4:23-24, which is to worship with words supplied by the Spirit, while you are also in Truth, (in union with Jesus, who is the Truth). So worship from your carnal mind, (which is enmity with God), speaking from your mind's will, praying from your mind, reciting a previous teaching, singing from your mind, reading from the Bible without direction — they are all out of a worship that is in spirit and truth, and an abomination to the Lord, including all the so-called sacraments. The Apostle Paul and the early Quakers termed such worship, will-worship: worship according to man's will and mind, which mind is carnal and enmity with God.

God must be worshipped in spirit and truth; worship must be led by His spirit to be in His spirit to worship; it must be the truth of the life He produces in your heart, which life is the light, which light is the anointing, which is truth and is no lie — the inward truth. From the Word of the Lord within: "In your worship service look around you; do you see the Holy Spirit? Proper worship is for two or three to speak as moved by the Spirit. All must worship in spirit and truth. To be in Jesus is to be in truth;" (when you are in Jesus, or in truth, you have been translated into the kingdom and are sitting with Jesus in heaven).

In his writing, No Cross No Crown, William Penn summarized vain worship of so-called Christianity vs. true worship: "Sometimes they strive to appease Him by their fleshly framed devotion and worship, but in vain; for true worshipping of God is doing his will, which they transgress."

In regard to singing in services, Edward Burrough wrote:

I own [to acknowledge the truth of] true singing with the spirit and with understanding, singing in the spirit, making melody in the heart to the Lord; this singing was and is among the saints in the church of Christ; this is well pleasing to God for it is not an imitation nor by tradition as is your singing, but it is true sacrifice, the song of the redeemed ones, which none can learn but the redeemed ones of the Lord, (who has come and is coming), to sing with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads; but your singing is carnal, traditional, and heathenish, and it is an imitation, and is not with the spirit of Jesus; but it is with the spirit of the world, with the spirit of drunkards, swearers, liars, mockers, scorners, covetous ones, with the spirit of wrath, envy, malice, with the spirit of Cain, and with the spirit of the scribes and Pharisees and chief priests who persecuted the saints that sang in truth in former generations; and now the deceit is turned into the form of singing, and they that live there persecute those that sing in the power.

In regard to communion in services, Edward Burrough wrote:

The true communion of saints I own [to acknowledge the truth of] for we have union in the bread that we break, which is the body of Christ, and the cup which we drink is the blood of Christ, by which we are nourished and fed up to eternal life; for he that does not eat of Christ flesh and drink his blood, he has no life in him;* he among you that can hear, let him hear, but I deny your communion because it is heathenish and no more but an imitation, having proceeded out of the imagination of the proud. Your breaking of bread and drinking of the cup is an abomination that God never commanded; and your Pharisee upholds this, sitting in the seat of Christ and of the saints as the Pharisees sat in Moses' seat, saying and not doing.

*The words of the Lord you hear spoken to you are the bread of life, the bread from heaven. The words are his flesh and blood. Each word you hear from the Spirit is the life of Jesus, (his flesh and blood), that is engrafted into your heart; forming Christ within you; until Christ is fully formed and resurrected in you to be your true Lord, ruling your thoughts, your words, and your deeds. From the Word of the Lord within, "Christ is actually resurrected in every person that comes to Him and obeys Him repetitively. With persistent and faithful obedience, you too will be raised."

The Word of the Lord within has described the programmed worship of the sects as "theater!" Think about it, and you can see the will-worship of man is nothing but a staged performance — planned, rehearsed, accompanied by extensive music, often even guided with a printed program — just like a stage play. The only thing missing is an intermission to sell snacks and drinks.

From the word of the Lord within: "Just like Judaism was taken over by the enemy, so has Christianity, which is corrupt, through and through. There is no church in the world that Christ set up specifically. When they pray, they don't pray to God; they pray to their collective conscience." In vain does Christianity worship Jesus and God because they pray to an image they have created based on which scriptures they think are valid and their opinion of what those scriptures mean; thus creating an imagined image of God according to their collective conscience. Who is it really that they imagine? A god who ignores believers' continual sinning until death; and according to William Penn: "the deity they truly worship is the god of this world, the great lord of lusts," who is Satan; and also according to early Quaker, kingdom-dwelling Isaac Penington: "in the apostasy, men have not known God or Satan, the light or the darkness; but have mistook, taking the one for the other, worshipping the devil instead of God."

From the Word of the Lord within: "Do you agree with any who in their arrogance have stated that God excuses evil in believers? It's not fair, but they don't care. By their evident display of sin, Christians cause my name to be blasphemed among the people. These people no longer represent me; they have caused great indignation."
