4 The stone rejected was Christ, the cornerstone of the temple of God in Heaven. The prophesied builders were the Jews. The Jews, who had been builders of the words without life, refused the cornerstone, Jesus, the covenant of light, the prince of peace, the Lord of glory, he who sits on David's throne, who comes, (as it is written in the volume of the book), to do the will of God.
