47 And while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a was great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Now he who betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, "Whomever I kiss, he is the one; hold him securely."
49 And he immediately went to Jesus and said, 'Hail, master!' And kissed him.3 [It is not what you say that makes Jesus your Lord or Master, but your deeds — your obedience to his teachings and commands. By your deeds you either acknowledge him or deny him as your Lord and Master. If you continue in sin and call Him Lord, you are like those whom He said: "This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their hearts are far from me." Mat 15:8.]
