8 For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks [persistently] finds; and to him who knocks it shall be opened.4 [From the Word of the Lord within: "He told us it was not enough to seek God, we must seek with all our heart and soul. You will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart." John carefully states: "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15. Unless you have crucified your sinful nature, to receive his Spirit in sufficient measure to reveal His will, you have no idea what His will is. This is why the vast majority of prayers, made in the carnal minds of beginning believers, are never answered. When we can do His will, we hear what to pray from Him, and we know for sure such prayers are heard and will be granted. A true Christian is crucified and purified by the grace of God, able to do God's will on earth as it is done in heaven; that is a true Christian's sole purpose: to pray, to speak, and to act as God directs, thus to bring pleasure, honor, and glory to God. From the Word of the Lord within: "Pray only as you are told."]
23 Who, when he came and saw the grace of God that was given to them, he rejoiced and exhorted them all to purpose their hearts to cleave [persist and persevere in abiding] to the Lord.
28 So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who persistently and patiently wait for him he will appear the second time, not to bear sin, but to bring full salvation.3 [Those who are persistently and patiently waiting on God, see Jesus appear in their hearts, and see Jesus bring their salvation, which is to be delivered (freed) from all sin. To wait on God is to persistently sit in humble silence, listen for his voice and words, watch for his revelations, hear his commands, and then obey Him; only those who heed and obey Him receive eternal salvation. Heb 5:9. But if we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it [salvation] with patient endurance, Rom 8:25; we wait for salvation. From the Word of the Lord within: "You must wait on the Lord to receive salvation."]
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold firm the beginning of our confidence to the end, [We can enter union with Christ and God if we through the Spirit mortify the sinful nature, which occurs if we heed and obey Him as we persistently and patiently wait for Him. To wait on God is to persistently sit in humble silence, listen for his voice and words, watch for his revelations, hear his commands, and then obey His voice.]
15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word, keep it in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with steadfast endurance. [Every believer who takes up the inward cross of self-denial will eventually undergo a trial of their faith with affliction and persecution. Some will be offended and fall away, back into the world. "By your firm and patient endurance do you [possess] attain the true Life of your souls." Luke 21:19. Those who endure and persevere to the end, when Christ comes to bruise the head of Satan under your feet, produce fruit to perfection, which honors and glorifies the Father.]
|1 Timothy 5:5|
5 Now she who is a real widow, and is alone and desolate, trusts in God and perseveres in supplications and prayers night and day.
|Revelation 2:3 |
3 And have persevered, and have patience, and for my name's sake have labored, and have not fainted.
