|Micah 4:1-2 |
1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains; and it shall be exalted above the hills, and people shall flow to it.1
2 And many nations shall come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For the law shall go forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
1 In the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains; and it shall be exalted above the hills, and people shall flow to it. This chapter describes a spiritual event and place, not a physical event or place. New Jerusalem was established in the Kingdom of Heaven. The last days began at Pentecost, as Peter confirmed when he said: "But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, said God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. The kingdom is an experience for those believers who purify their hearts and souls in obedience to the voice of the Lord.
