|Proverbs 15:8 |
8 The sacrifice [or prayer] of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.2
2The sacrifice [or prayer] of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight. But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those who worship him, must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24. All worship and prayers from the carnal mind, which is enmity with God, is an abomination; for we do not know what we should pray for, as we should, but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us. To properly worship, words must be supplied by the Holy Spirit. Until you have reached spiritual maturity, through the death of the sinful, carnal nature, you should silently listen for the teachings and commands of God, which when obeyed lead to spiritual maturity.
