1 I love those who love me. Jesus said: If a man loves me, he will obey my spoken words; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him [in his heart]. He who doesn't love me, does not obey my spoken words. John 14:22-24.
those who seek me early and diligently shall find me. This is a wonderful promise and reassurance to the youthful seekers of God. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke of his youth. Lam 3:27. Jesus said: Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Mat 11:29-30. As William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania, said in his farewell advice to his family and children:
In your youthful days seek after the Lord, that you may find Him; remembering his great love in creating you; that you are not beasts, plants, or stones, but that He has kept you, and given you his grace within, and substance without, and provided plentifully for you. This remember in your youth, that you may be kept from the evil of the world; for in age it will be harder to overcome the temptations of it.
