Psalms 65

Previous Chapter | Next Chapter

 Silence and praise await you in Zion, O God; and to you shall our vows be fulfilled.

 O you who hear prayer, to you all flesh will come.

 Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, you will purge them away.

 Blessed is the man whom you choose and cause to approach to you, that he may dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

 By terrible and awesome things you will answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth and of those who are far off upon the sea;

 Who established the mountain by your strength, being girded with power,

 Who stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

 Those who dwell in the uttermost parts of the earth are afraid of your signs. You make the morning and evening shout for joy.

 You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it with the river of God which is full of water; you prepare grain for them when you have provided water for it.

 You water its furrows abundantly and settle its ridges; you make it soft with showers and bless its sprouting.

 You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance.

 The pastures of the wilderness overflow, and the hills rejoice on every side.

 The pastures are clothed with flocks, the valleys are covered over with grain; they sing and shout for joy.
