| Revelation 18:1-4,23 1 Then after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of demons, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hateful bird. [From the Word of the Lord within: "Just like Judaism was taken over by the enemy, so has Christianity, which is corrupt through and through. There is no church in the world that Christ set up specifically. Like Daniel, you are captive of the Chaldeans. Your place of worship is filled with unclean birds." Unclean birds are demons. ] 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich through the abundance of her delicacies."1 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, so that you do not share in her sins, and so you will not receive her plagues.2 [Some of God's people are still in Christendom Babylon; God is pleading with his elect to leave the false church. Arise and depart, for this is not the rest. Because it is defiled, it shall destroy you, even with a grievous destruction. Micah 2:10] 23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you; for your merchants were the great men of the earth; and by your sorceries were all nations deceived."6 | |||||||||
6 the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you; for your merchants were the great men of the earth; and by your sorceries were all nations deceived. When the Lord's patience is exhausted with the people of the earth's ignoring his pleadings to come to him directly so he can lead them to purity, his pleadings will stop and he will destroy Babylon and its sinning members off the face of the earth, including those who are believers in Jesus. The time of the Lord's exhaustion of patience is near; from the Word of the Lord within: "Long have we tolerated evil in the world; it is no longer tolerable."
the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in you. The candle is a saint who is light in the Lord. No longer will the Lord send his prophets, who live in and speak from the light of God, into the false church to preach the true gospel, to call His people out of her, saying: "Come out of her, my people, so that you do not share in her sins, and so you will not receive her plagues." Rev 17:4.
the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you — at some time in the near future, no longer will the Lord himself comfort or even speak to those in false church; no longer will his saints speak to those in the false church.
for your merchants were the great men of the earth; and by your sorceries were all nations deceived — the ministers were the merchants, selling their false salvation for money, using magic prayers, magic water, and magic bread/grape juice to magically placate the fury of God against those still locked in sin; and by their lies and promises, they deceived all the nations.
