Revelation 19 Previous Chapter | Next Chapter 1 After these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and honor and power to the Lord our God. 2 For true and righteous are his judgments. For he has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand." 3 And again they said, "Hallelujah. Her smoke goes up forever and ever." 4 And the twenty four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Hallelujah!" 5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, and you who fear him, both small and great." 6 Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunder, saying, "Hallelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reigns. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white; for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints." 9 And he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb'" And he said to me, "These are the true words of God." 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do that. I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." 11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no one understands, except he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God.1 [Click to see the 125 scripture verses that state: "the word of the Lord came, speaking" and "the word of God came, speaking."] 14 The armies that were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron. He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he has on his garment and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves together to the supper of the great God; 18 That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great."2 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse, and against his army.3 [This occurred in the early Church of the Apostles and shortly afterward; see the ten persecutions. During the time of the early Quakers, every Protestant sect and the Roman Catholics all jointly and massively persecuted the Quakers. Christendom's armies of billions, led by the false prophets and commanded by the devil, stand ready to persecute again the saints of Jesus, wherever they appear in His Spirit, as they denounce Christendom to be the Whore of Babylon.] 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who produced miracles before him, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him who sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth; and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. 1 Jesus Christ's name is The Word of God. It is such a blasphemy to call the Bible, "the word of God." It is an insult to whom it testifies. It is more than ignorance. It is a deliberate deception to keep your nose in the Bible, and your ears closed to the voice of the Lord from heaven. Today, if you hear his voice from heaven, do not harden your hearts. Hebrews 4:7.
Let me illustrate the problem, with just three of many verses that will be totally misapplied, if you think the Word is the Bible:
Jesus said: Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it! Luke 11:28
Jesus said: My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and put it into practice. Luke 8:21
Paul wrote: That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. Eph 5:26-27.
If you think this means hearing someone read the Bible, you have missed the possibility of seeking to hear from God yourself.
You will have missed the blessing. You will have missed salvation. You must wait, watch, listen, hear, and obey to find any blessing from God.
Paul is not talking about Christ sanctifying his Church with the Bible, That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word
You must go to him, listen, hear and obey continually, to be cleansed or ever be sanctified.
See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks.
If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth,
how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? Hebrews 12:25
For extensive writing on listening to the true Word of God, Jesus Christ — not the Bible, see My Sheep Hear My Voice.
2 The Lord has said that if he has destroyed the people of Jerusalem, which was called by His name, do we think we will go unpunished? Jer 25:29. Through Jeremiah, He has also told us that walking after the imaginations of our own heart is worse than falling down and worshipping stone or wooden idols. Jer 16:12.
Come, my people, enter you into your chambers and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little while, until the indignation is past. The LORD comes out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. Isa 26:20-21. More prophecy of the Lord finally dealing with the iniquity of the earth, to destroy all those who do not listen to his voice and obey him, after every man hears the Voice of the Lord and turns his back on the Lord. This is like the firstborn of Egypt being destroyed; those who ate the Passover supper and had marked their doors with the blood of the lamb, were spared. The spiritual equivalent is all those of the first birth [of the flesh] will be destroyed; those who have truly died to the flesh, by crucifying their selfish fleshly life, will be spared; having their consciences sprinkled with the blood of Jesus to be purged of dead works, living only in obedience to serve the Living God.
Before this happens, as Jeremiah said in Jer 25:31, "he will plead with all flesh." And the Lord does anonymously plead with all flesh to depart from their sinful ways.
The early Quakers wrote of this happening to them as a personal experience.
3 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse, [the Lamb] and against his army. The beast and the kings of the earth don't make war with Christ; he has ascended into the heavens far above all principalities and powers. But they do make war with the Lamb, who is in, and rules in, his saints; they make war with the Lamb by warring against him in his saints. But the Lamb overcomes them; the Lamb's power reigns in his saints, and when the Lamb wills to destroy the evil, beastly religion of the earth, he will overcome the beast, the kings, and their armies — his saints have the victory.
This occurred in the early Church of the Apostles and shortly afterward; see the ten persecutions. During the time of the early Quakers, every Protestant sect, (including Episcopal, Presbyterian, Baptist, Congregationalist, Puritan, etc.) and the Roman Catholics all jointly and massively persecuted the Quakers; the Christian sects were the devil's armies, and the kings of the earth were the officials of the churches and states who together persecuted the Quakers, killing a thousand in prisons, imprisoning tens of thousands, seizing the property of tens of thousands, and sending two hundred of the Quakers to slavery. The Puritans even hung three Quaker men and one Quaker woman in Boston, calling them blasphemous witches. Just as Jesus was killed by religious people, Jesus told his true disciples they would also be killed by religious people:
Today, Christendom's armies of billions, led by the false prophets and commanded by the devil, stand ready to persecute again the saints of Jesus, wherever they appear in His Spirit, as they denounce Christendom to be the Whore of Babylon.
