For the kingdom of God is not in food and drink; but in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.1 [In his sermon early Quaker Stephen Crisp, who dwelled in the kingdom, testified that in one day under the government of Christ, (in the kingdom), one has more joy, pleasure, and delight than a thousand days outside it.]
Truly, truly, I say to you that you shall weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
When a woman is in childbirth, she has grief, because her hour has come; but as soon as she has delivered her child, she does not remember the anguish, for joy of a child having been born into the world.
|John 16:24 |
Until now you have asked nothing in my name; now ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.
