1 Therefore being declared righteous by faith,1 we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; [Faith is not belief that Jesus is the son of God based on the historical accuracy of the Bible; rather faith is hearing the word of God from within your heart, Rom 10:8,17, for faith is the gift of God and is authored by revelation from Jesus Christ, Eph 2:8, Heb 12:2, Rom 1:19. Until you are led (prompted, ordered, commanded) by the Spirit, the law is your schoolmaster, Gal 5:18. The imputed righteousness of Christ only comes to you after death of your selfish spirit on the inward cross of self-denial, when you receive faith with the fruit of the Spirit, against which is no law, to then walk in love, obeying the continuous commands of Christ. Until then we through the Spirit, by faith, patiently wait for the hope of righteousness, Gal. 5:5.]
2 By whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation works patience; [Paul is speaking to mature believers, those who have experienced tribulations, to work patience. Spirit imposed tribulation and suffering are part of the cross, and the only way you will ever be rid of sin. Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you, 1 Pet 4:12. Therefore, since Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind because he who has suffered in the flesh is finished with sin, 1 Pet 4:1.]
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope;
5 And hope does not make ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given to us.
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous man; yet perhaps some would dare to die for a good man.
8 But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Many then will be declared righteous by the blood of Him to be saved through Him, separated from the wrath [of God]. 2
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation.
12 Therefore, as sin entered into the world by one man, and death from sin; so death passed upon all men, because all sinned.
13 For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin was not imputed when there was no law. [This was translated as "when there is no law." Yet the context of the preceding and succeeding verse says "when there was no law;" the Greek could be translated either way. The translators, obviously men still steeped in sin, without a clue as to how to be released from the bondage of sin, chose to translate this verse to support their hope that there is no sin because there is no law; which totally contradicts Romans 2:9-16 and Romans 7:1: Do you not know brothers, (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives ? Rom 7:1. Until you lose your life by crucifying your sinful nature, your carnal mind, and your evil spirit, you are still alive and still subject to the moral laws. The moral laws only end when a man's selfish spirit has been crucified on the inward cross of self-denial, and Christ Jesus is resurrected in him to totally control his thoughts, words, and deeds with the Law of the Spirit of Life. See the Footnote to Rom 3:28 for more understanding on why the moral laws must still be observed and are your schoolmaster until your thoughts, words, and deeds are under complete control of the Holy Spirit. The blind guides of Christendom point to this scripture and claim there is no longer any sin because the law has supposedly been done away with for anyone who believes in Jesus; they conveniently overlook the New Testaments' many warnings of sin that completely disqualify you for salvation or heaven, click to see. They also overlook that every man will be judged on his works and words, click to see. Yes, there is a difference between good and evil; yes there is still sin;yes there is an inner law of God on every man's heart that must obeyed and that includes some of the old Mosaic moral laws such as: love your neighbor as you love yourself; don't steal; don't commit adultery; don't lie; don't covet; don't murder; and honor your father and mother. Every man in the world has these laws written on their heart, and if you continue to sin, every man will receive indignation and wrath from God. From the Word of the Lord within: "There are no laws when you are under complete control of the spirit; you walk in love in obedience as prompted — you don't walk in restricted flesh."]
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned like Adam sinned, who is the figure of him who was to come.
15 But the free gift is not comparable to the offence; because if through the offence of one, the many are dead, how much greater is the gift of the magnificent grace of God given to all men by Jesus Christ.
16 And the gift is not like the condemnation of judgment for one sin, for the free gift brings justification to many.
17 For if by one man's [Adam's] disobedience, death reigned [to the whole human race] from that one; how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, reign in life through one man, Jesus Christ.
18 Therefore because the disobedience of one man led all men to condemnation; even so one man's act of righteousness exculpates (pronounces not guilty of offences) all men to right standing with God and righteousness of life.3 [Jesus died so all persons will be reconciled with God; but each person must first experience the painful removal of sin because reconciliation can only occur between pure objects; for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness, and what communion has light with darkness? 2 Cor 6:14. All will be reconciled to God: the few who are crucified, purified, and perfected while on earth with great reward; and the many who are purified in Hell. "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, to reconcile by him [Jesus], all things to himself [the Father]; by him [Jesus], I say, whether they are things on earth, or things in heaven." Col 1:20. "We trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe." 1 Tim 4:10]
19 For as by one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one will the many be made righteous. [The many is all. The verse immediately above shows all. Jesus said that few would be saved, which is true for "in this life," and occurs with great reward of the kingdom of heaven; the many and all will be saved in the next life but without the reward of the kingdom of heaven. 20 Moreover the law entered to expand [the understanding of] sin. But where sin expanded, grace increased even more.
21 That as sin has reigned to death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. [No instant grace for eternal life: to those who by patient persistence in well doing, seek for glory, honor, and immortality, he will give eternal life. Rom 2:7]

1 Therefore being declared righteous by faith. Here is another case of translation error. Most Bibles are translated to say: Therefore being justified by faith. Again the Greek word in the Net Bible is dikaiwyentev, (1344) of which the root is dikaioo, and most commonly means to render righteous. "Just" is remote in the choices for the translators, but most took it. This verse is simply restating the imputed righteousness of Christ that comes to you only after death of your selfish spirit on the inward cross of self-denial, when you receive faith with the fruit of the Spirit, against which is no law, to then walk in love, obeying the continuous commands of Christ. Until then we through the Spirit, by faith, patiently wait for the hope of righteousness, Gal. 5:5. See Footnote 2 to Romans 3:22 for the details of imputed righteousness.
we have peace with God. Having crucified our sinful nature on the inward cross of self-denial, we are at peace with God through Jesus Christ and His righteousness imputed to us. Several of the early Quakers emphasized that as slaves of sin we do not have God's favor nor does peace exist between us. Until our spirit and mind has been crucified, we are at enmity with God; and we can make our peace while on earth through the death of the sinful nature on the cross, or we make peace with God through our suffering and purging in Hell, the hard way.
Regarding justification, commonly attributed to this verse in error, George Fox, wrote that justification occurs at the same time you experience sanctification and redemption:
He who has Him [Christ] has life, and he who has not Him, has not life. They who witness [see and hear] Christ within, witness the end of imputation, they witness the thing itself, the end of their belief, and they possess the sanctification, and such come to know faith and love. Those as may have all the scriptures, and preach of justification and sanctification without them, and not within them, are as the Jews, are as the witches and reprobates. Those are reprobate who do not witness [see] Christ within them, or sanctification there, or justification there, and so do not witness [experience the receipt of] faith, and love, nor the faith that works by love; and they are in the error. He who has Him, has life, justification, sanctification, and redemption.
Yes, we are justified by faith, just like our hearts are purified by faith, just like our souls are purified by obedience to the truth. But the faith has to be operational, producing works of repentance, including the carrying of our cross; operational faith which Paul speaks of as being obedience to the leading of the Spirit.
Faith within justifies; faith within purifies. Faith is the process of following the listened-to and heard commands of Jesus from within your heart; by obedience a person's heart is cleansed, purified, justified, and saved from his sins. Paul speaks of faith coming to free us from the inner law on the heart of every man, which includes moral core of the outward law, as our schoolmaster. In Gal 5:18, he says: if (and when) you are led (prompted, ordered, commanded) by the Spirit, you are not under the law. So he has defined faith to being in obedience to the Spirit's leading. So faith is to follow the commands heard from the Spirit of God, from the Lord. This is a major clarification of the definition of faith, as Paul further tells us that he preaches the word of faith which is in our hearts and mouths to obey, and faith comes by hearing the word; and Jesus says, Blessed are those who hear the word of God and "keep" [practice, obey] it. So faith is to hear the word within, and believe it to be the Son of God speaking to you, and then to keep it [obey it, practice it], repeatedly.
Note! Galatians 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ. As believers, we must seek to be justified. Just by believing in Jesus, we are not automatically justified. Likewise by faith one is purified; but obviously by just believing in Jesus, one does not become instantly pure. We must believe and obey what hear Jesus tell us to do; that is believing in Jesus. We are not instantly justified, cleansed, purified, or saved. As Paul said we seek to be justified by Christ and he said we must continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, Phil 2:12; and now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Rom 13:11.

Faith within justifies; faith within purifies. We are justified by his blood; we are cleansed from all sin by his blood; but we are not instantly justified or instantly cleansed. Justification, cleansing (to purity), and circumcision of the heart occur simultaneously, when the old man of sin has been crucified on the inward cross of self-denial, which circumcision puts off the body of sins of the flesh. Col 2:11.
3 Therefore because the disobedience of one man led all men to condemnation; even so one man's act of righteousness exculpates (pronounces not guilty of offences) all men to right standing with God and righteousness of life. The Lord once told me "if one man's sin can curse the whole human race, then how much more just is it for one man's righteousness to pay for the sins of the whole world?" Sounds logical doesn't it? HE IS LOGICAL. And the scriptural proof of his statement to me is the footnoted verse Rom 5:18:
Because the disobedience of one man [Adam] led all men to condemnation; even so one man's [Christ's] act of righteousness
exculpates (pronounces not guilty of offences) all men to right standing with God and eternal life.
All will be reconciled to God: the few who are crucified, purified, and perfected while on earth with great reward; and the many who are purified in Hell. "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, to reconcile by him [Jesus], all things to himself [the Father]; by him [Jesus], I say, whether they are things on earth, or things in heaven." Col 1:20. All men are eventually changed to be in right standing with God. All men are eventually saved: we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 1 Tim 4:10. (Mark! All men, not just all believers). Jesus made it possible so that all men will eventually be saved: For God has sealed them all [men] in disobedience, that he might show mercy on all [men]. Rom 11:32. But all men must pass through the fire before being set to right standing with God, either: 1) the first fruits, at the conclusion of repentance on the inward cross, who pass through the unquenchable fire of the Holy Spirit's baptism of death to the sinful nature, or 2) those dying in their sins, who must take their part in the lake of fire, commonly called Hell. And God purposed that having made peace through the blood of his cross, to reconcile by him, all things to himself; by him, I say, whether they are things on earth, or things in heaven.
From the Word of the Lord within:
Those who do not die to self through the cross while on earth, go through forced repentance until they are under control and governed by the Lord, (therefore He is truly their Lord), but they: a) are not kings and priests, b) do not live in the higher dimension of the inner court where the kings and priests dwell, c) will live forever in the lower dimension while fully aware of the higher dimension, d) will regret forever that they wasted their time on the earth in foolish pursuits, and e) forever suffer that regret plus the deprivation of the higher dimension.
Note! If you take this scripture out of context with the rest of the Bible's exclusions, requirements, and qualifying conditions of salvation and not being banned from heaven, you could erroneously conclude that all men on the earth, of all religions, or no religion, are in right standing with God and righteousness of life. Realize, this kind of mistake is what the doctrines of modern Christianity are built upon — sand. All will occur, but not all in this life.
