17 And the fruit (effect) of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness is quietness and confident trust (unquestionable assurance) forever. [From the Word of the Lord within: "Keep seeking peace; great will be your peace if you continue faithfully. There is a blessing to make the cessation of the mind permanent. Live in peace forever. You must go on waiting, watching, and listening; then our hearts will be quiet by grace. You will receive a new heart and mind. Grow up into the mind of Christ, from which all good thoughts proceed."]
18 And my people will dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places,
21 In whom the whole building is joined together, and it grows to a holy temple in the Lord.
22 In whom you also are built together for a dwelling place for God7 through the Spirit.
|John 14:2-6 |
2 In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and take you to myself; so that where I am, there you may be also.1 [This applies to all his disciples, now and then; it refers to being translated into the Kingdom of Heaven, and to be raised with Christ to sit down in heavenly places in Christ while still alive on the earth. If any man wants to serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will also be. John 12:26. Your sight and consciousness are in heaven, but you are still on the earth serving the Lord. From the Word of the Lord within: "You can live in heaven and still walk the earth. I will come again to the elect; I will be a crown to lead and guide them." As George Fox ministered on the earth, he was translated to paradise; and then he lived in paradise.]
4 You know where I go, and you know the way."
5 But Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?"
6 Then Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by me. [It is not enough to believe Jesus is the Son of God; you must expose yourself to hearing him command your repentance and then obey him — repetitively until you see him bring your salvation. He guides you along this narrow way of the cross, in which you must daily deny yourself to follow, (obey), Him. As kingdom-dwelling Isaac Penington wrote: "the way is long, the travel hard, the enemies and difficulties many, and that there is need of much faith, hope, patience, repentance, watchfulness against temptations, etc., before the life (superior, eternal life of God) in them arrives." Each word you hear from Him transmits the life of Christ to be engrafted in your heart until he is fully formed and resurrected in you to be your true Lord who rules all your words and deeds. With endurance to the end, you will come to be a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, Eph 4:13.]
