17 And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, who keep the commands of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.3
3 the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, who keep the commands of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Notice! The devil does not make war with Christendom, which pretends there is no obedience required — only "believing in Jesus." The devil makes war with the remnant (the small residual number) who:
- who keep the commands of God. What commands? The commands you hear the Word in you heart speak to you, Rom 10:8. As Jesus said, Whoever comes to me, and listens to my spoken words and does [practices, obeys] them, Luke 6:47-49. And until you can hear the Spirit of God's personalized commands and obey them, (which is the true faith), you must obey the inner law on the heart of every man; which inner law makes us feel bad when we lie, or steal or dishonor our parents; which inner law includes moral core of the outward law; which inner law is your schoolmaster until you are guided by the Spirit of God, Gal 3:24: you shall not murder; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and your mother; you shall love your neighbor as yourself; and you shall do for others what you would have them do for you. To he who is born of God, none of the commands are burdensome. 1 John 5:3.
- and have the testimony of Jesus. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Rev 19:10. So those who prophesy, (edify, exhort, and comfort), by speaking words supplied by the Holy Spirit, have the testimony of Jesus; and they are warred against by the devil. So all the people in Christendom, who neither listen to the Lord's voice, nor obey the moral commands of the law, they obviously cannot prophesy, nor do they have the testimony of Jesus; all of them are ignored by the devil because he has them neutralized under his control in the synagogues of Satan. The devil only wars against those who prophesy — those who speak words supplied at that moment by the Spirit of God — those who speak the Word of God — those who hear God's words spoken in their heart and who speak them to their listeners.
