Romans 1:21-32

 21 Because when they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, neither were they thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

 23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image resembling corruptible man, and birds, and four-footed animals, and reptiles.

 24 Therefore God gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves.

 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

 26 For this cause God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for their women exchanged the natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.

 27 And likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed in their passions for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

 28 And since they did not want to retain God in their knowledge, God abandoned them to an impure mind, to do those things which are not proper;

 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; gossipers,

 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

 31 Without understanding, promise breakers, without natural affection, constant in enmity, unmerciful.

 32 They, knowing the judgment of God and that those who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in those who do them.4

4 We read about fornication, adultery, murder, theft — taking pleasure in such acts. Our music, DVD's, TV programming, and movies — all celebrate evil. Our newspapers print the bad news; we eagerly read how others have suffered death, accidents, catastrophes, etc. It is our sick, depraved minds that find ungodliness entertaining and pleasurable.
